Area Rug Cleaning Miami: So this afternoon a woman came into our plant. I greeted her with a smile and showed concern for her needs, as all of us do at Oriental Rug Care. She explained that she wanted to “have a business meeting with me and wanted to sit down at my desk.” I welcomed her into the office and offered her a cold beverage as we do with every customer that comes in. As I was returning back from our break room with her drink in hand, I noticed her shoes. As most women always do. I told Barbara that they were so adorable and I really liked them. This is the part that just took my breath away. As soon as I told Barbara about her shoes, she asked me, “What size of shoes do you wear? I’d love to give these to you.” I could not believe my ears. How could a customer that I’ve only known for less than literally five minutes make such a huge gesture as to wanting to give me her shoes? I then thought to myself what a big heart this woman must have and what I can do to help her with her business inquires. I told her that I appreciated the thought of kindness but I wouldn’t feel comfortable taking her shoes. She was so pleasant.
After we got comfortable at my desk she began to tell me why she came to Oriental Rug Care and what her needs were. Barbara stated that we were highly recommended to her by a friend and owner of an interior design company. Because they use us all the time for their Oriental and other Area rug cleaning, rug repair & restoration, and Area Rug Cleaners in Miami services, Barbara wanted to inquire about our services as well. Because Barbara owned numerous expensive Oriental rugs, she was very selective about who she would entrust to clean her Oriental Rugs. She had been doing her homework and was calling and interviewing several companies. When she came across our name and location she personally decided to drive over and see our plant and the way we operate our business. By the time Barbara and I were done with the “interview process”, we scheduled her for her free estimate and pick up the very next day.
When we were completely finished, I did not let her leave empty-handed. We have a unique gift that we offer all of our customers that come in for a tour of our plant.
