Best Oriental Rugs Dusting: Dusting! Each night we collect all the rugs we received for the day and put them on a cart and bring them to the back of the shop so we can dust them with our soft compressed air system. First, the guys lay out the mats to put the rugs down, and then they put on the masks before turning on the compressors. No matter how clean your house is, rugs act like filters that filter out the air in the living quarters. When you walk on the rug, the dirt goes in between the tight knots and stays there even with the best vacuum. We have been dusting area rugs the same way since the start of the business. Years ago we looked at some of the automated systems that beat rugs and require less manpower. But after being at another rug plant that does it both ways, I was shown the results from an automated system. Even after it went through the machine the rug was put through the test of using the soft air compression method and a light cloud of dust was still coming out, YIKES! We are still dusting rugs our old-fashioned way.
There are many videos on our site on dusting. Seldom do we dust a rug and not see any dust coming out of the rug. If you are looking at your rug and it looks cleaned and you know you haven’t had it professionally cleaned in many years, call our company and let us dust, wash and make the fringe look like new again. Just a little side note, we have two master weavers on staff. So if the vacuum has gotten the best out of your rug and you are missing fringe, or the sides are looking shabby, we can return the rug looking vibrant and smelling fresh so the rug can be around for a few more generations.
