Fort Lauderdale Oriental Rug Cleaning

Fort Lauderdale Cleaning Oriental Rug: It’s April and I am amazed how busy it has been this season.  We have seen a lot of new fibers making their way into our cleaning facility.  A lot of white cotton-based material that looks snow white, but has been very challenging for us to clean and especially trying to remove the traffic pattern.  We have had to create new methods and techniques when it comes to cleaning this type of Oriental Rug Cleaning to avoid the material from turning yellow which tends to happen when cotton is over wet and it dries slowly.  The challenge in Fort Lauderdale Cleaning Oriental Rug large white rugs with heavy traffic patterns is that the rug needs the use of a lot of water especially attempting to remove the brown to grey looking traffic pattern.  What is in play here is finding the right balance so that the rug looks snow white again.  Let me emphasize that cotton is not a durable material on rugs, it is not as durable as wool.

Wool is the best material possible when it comes to durability.  Here’s a recent example of what I am talking about.  We do a lot of work for designers here in South Florida.  A designer had a large 9 X 12 shag Calvin Klein rug brought here with very visible traffic patterns that belonged to a Miami Heat basketball player.  He stresses to us that the clients’ concerns were the traffic patterns.  All I could think to myself when he was telling us about the customer’s expectation what why did they wait so long to maintain this white shag rug especially since he had money.  Anyway, we did accept the challenge and sure enough on the tag, the material said a mixture of different materials and 30% cotton.  Crap cotton!  We cleaned the rug and when the rug dried we could still see signs of traffic patterns so we had to clean it another two times before we got the desired result which is a snow-white rug without and visible signs of the traffic pattern.

In South Florida, we are seeing more mixed material fibers which make for real interesting-looking rugs which are fun to look at.  Our oriental rug plant is open daily from 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday – Friday we encourage people to come by and interview our facility.  Also please call any time if you have any questions
